why is it that we are attracted to vintage things? Is it nostalgia? A desire for simpler times? I often wonder.
I think my tastes were formed in my childhood. Avocado green and orange are two of my favorite colors. When life seems to move to fast I retreat to my fantasy world of Tiki lounges and aluminum Christmas trees. I would happily move in with the Brady's and eat Alice's meatloaf every night.
Maybe what I really desire is that feeling of being taken care of. Of someone wiser than me helping me make decisions and teaching me about life.
Then I remember, what I really desire, what I am really looking for to fill the hole in my life...is my Lord. HE will fill the hole, light the darkness, take care of me and lead me beside still waters.
We require many things to get through this life, food,water,exercise and that thing that sets us apart from the animals......... FAITH
